2009 CAMP GUARDIAN Official Video

This video features songs by Colbie Caillat ("Something Special") and Ingrid Michaelson ("Everybody"), as well as Louis Armstrong's timeless classic, "What A Wonderful World." Since 1977, Camp Guardian Foundation, Inc. has been dedicated to a single purpose: to provide safe, wholesome, activity-filled recreational summer camps for intellectually and developmentally challenged citizens, ages eight and beyond.

For the past 33 years, over 3900 special needs campers have participated-at no cost to the campers or their families-in week-long camp sessions called Camp Guardian. Our volunteers, in turn, receive opportunities to perform very meaningful community service. We are an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization, comprised of a dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer staff of primarily current and retired Missouri National Guard personnel, as well as their family members.

Many of our volunteers are veterans who have proudly served our nation in various military conflicts ranging from World War II to Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. Camp Guardian Foundation receives no federal or state assistance and is funded entirely from private contributions.
