For over 37 years, Camp Guardian Foundation, Inc. has hosted at least one, week-long recreational summer camp session - called Camp Guardian - for children and adults with special needs. Camp Guardian camps are committed to serving children and adults, ages eight and beyond, with physical and/or intellectual disabilities.  Previous campers have included those with Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, autism, Klippel-Trenaunay-Weber (KTW) syndrome, Spina bifida, traumatic brain injury, and other physical and neurodevelopmental disabilities.   ... Where Is The Camp?

Generally speaking, most Camp Guardian volunteer staffers are either a current or former member of the Missouri National Guard, or a family member, friend or acquaintance of a Missouri National Guardsperson. How Much Does It Cost?

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO COST FOR A CAMPER TO ATTEND CAMP GUARDIAN! Everything (camp rental and lodging fees, t-shirts, off-camp recreational activities, awards, gifts, etc.) are provided free of charge to our campers.  Currently, it costs our program approximately $400.00 per camper to maintain the exceptional standards of our camps, and provide the diverse activites enjoyed by our campers.  ... How Are Campers Selected?

Anyone with a physical and/or intellectual disability is welcome to apply. Many of our special needs campers are family members, friends and neighbors of current and retired Missouri National Guardsmen. On the other hand, many campers selected to attend a Camp Guardian session have no family members directly or indirectly affiliated with the MO National Guard. Where Does The Money Come From?

All funds raised by Camp Guardian Foundation, Inc. come from personal or corporate donations. We are a non-profit charitable organization offically recognized under US Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3). All donations are tax deductible.
